ok i have a issue im hoping you can advise me what to do about it – my dollar tree wouldnt accept my coupon for this deal – i tried to do it on monday – i had the coupon policy with me and showed them where it says they will accept coupons that are over $1 and just price adjust them down – the cashier went and talked to a manager and said that the coupon policy says you can use a higher value coupon on a (Single) item but they wouldnt let me use this coupon because it says it is for $3/2 items – they said if it was $1.50/1 that they would take it and adjust it but not $3/2 so i went home and called dollar tree corporate and of course got voicemail and left a message but nobody has called me back and that was 2 days ago – what do you think i should do – i really want to be able to use my coupons at dollar tree but if they are going to refuse them its a waste of my time
They make you go through hell and back to use your coupons at The Dollar Tree. The one in Savannah writes the store number on EVERY coupon so you WAIT and WAIT if you have a lot of coupons. The one in Richmond Hill make you feel like a thief and the cashiers are just plain nasty about it. “We don’t get many people who do coupons here.” Snooty…… Richmond Hill, Ga. is an upscale neighborhood excuse me for using coupons people! That’s why so many people are “under water” in this town and my house is paid for helllloooo….!!!!!!!!
I am so sorry. This is happening everywhere. I have called and called corporate too and only ever got a response on their facebook page. I don’t know why they wouldn’t take the coupon, it clearly says they take coupons over $1. The manager must not understand the policy. If you have a different store to shop at you can try that, or just keep trying corporate. I am sorry
I keep track of what everyone’s complaints are and go log them with corporate. Hopefully if we keep doing that they will help us out!
I think that Dollar Tree may be rethinking about accepting coupons since they are He** bent on coming up with so many excuses NOT to accept them. When they first started taking coupons, they had HUGE display signs posted on their windows announcing that they now accept manufacturer coupons but after about a month or so – they all disappeared. I haven’t seen any mention of the fact that they take coupons in their ads that I pick up in the store or in any of the emails that I receive from them. I wouldn’t be surprised if they soon announced that they are discontinuing taking coupons.
Hi!
It’s hard when all the stores are not on the same page & it gets VERY frustrating! But keep trying & good luck!
I went to a D.T in York Pa & was told I ould NOT use ANY coupon OVER $1 on 2 (TWO) items! I was so bummed! I went to another D.T about 5 min away in Manchester pa & was told I COULD use the coupon (after she looked up the policy) but would have to get 2 of the lipgloss & she would take $2 off (not $3, which I was fine with) I ended up walking out of the store with 12 Nivea LipGlosses for FREE
A Dollar Tree store in Chicago accepted this coupon and five other coupons I had for other products and gave me no problem, however, the manager told me for future reference that their coupon policy was to limit usage to 2 coupons per family. According to the website it is two internet coupons per household. I wasn’t using internet coupons so there apparently is some confusion.
2 coupons per family? *sigh* Rogue managers making up their own rules!
I live in Chicago. I was wondering which, dollar tree you went to?
I was just informed by dollar tree facebook page person that they are not to accept the $3/2 coupon for the nivea lip care – they say its because the coupon policy says they will accept coupons higher than $1 on single purchases – (this is a multiple purchase coupon) so as dumb as that sounds being its the same darn thing – i guess i will not be trying to use any (multiple purchase) coupons at dollar tree anymore unless its value is under $1 – this so sucks
Pamela, I was told the same thing that I couldn’t use the coupon because they accept one coupon per item and this coupon was for two, I was like what? After trying to explain to the manager she told me to go to another store because she wasn’t going to take them. So I went to another dollar tree where they took them with no problems. I don’t know why it has to be such a hassle, too much of a headache for me I will stick to more coupon friendly stores.
i have to agree with ya on sticking to the more coupon friendly stores – i went back to dollar tree today and i wasnt even using any coupons but when i walked up to the register to pay for my items the cashier automatically called a manager as soon as she saw it was me (they know me well there lol)- i said to her im not using any coupons today – so she dismissed the call to managment and went to ring up my order – a manager came up there anyway and when he looked at me funny i commented that i wasnt using coupons today cause i didnt find what i was looking for – the cashier says ya its hard to coupon here – i told her well its just that some dollar tree stores dont carry as many brand name items as other dollar trees do – the manager very snooty like says yeah well some dollar trees arent following the coupon policy either letting people use coupons they arent supposed to but i sure as heck am – then he walked away – my husband was there with me and he heard it as well – his mouth dropped at the snide remark from from the manager when i wasnt even talking to him i was talking to the cashier for goodness sake – i dont know if i will ever go back there again after today
I live in WA state. Some stores are better than others. I’ve learned just to ignore the stores that give me grief.
