Dollar Tree – More Match Ups 8/29

It looks like things are going really well at the Dollar Tree! There have been a few stories where cashiers were unfriendly or didn’t know what was going on, but overall people seem to be doing good with their coupons there. The big thing is being patient this first little while with the cashiers as they learn policy and procedure. If you do run into a really bad experience though, I would call a manager just to let them know what your experience was. They won’t be able to improve anything if they don’t hear your side or know what was going on.  One thing to check for sure is the sizes/amounts on the products at Dollar Tree.  They tend to have smaller sizes, so if your coupon is very product specific, take a double look and make sure it’s for the right item!  Here is a round up of other deals that have been added as people are shopping more in their stores.  I really, really appreciate the emails from readers letting me know about what they see in their stores! With the Dollar Tree you honestly never know what you will find-so keep your eyes out!  Not all products are available at all stores. If you see something in your store that isn’t on a list here, let me know!  Want more deals?  See my other match up here!  Don’t forget to keep the coupon policy with you :)

  1. My store had efferdent denture soak also 16 tablets use with the $1/1 any efferdent product on coupons.com

  2. Hi Anna, I love the information you’re posting. My husband and I are taking advantage of those great deals. I do have something interesting that happened to us in Shreveport/Bossier City, LA that maybe you can clarify for us. I saw a picture of items that you purchased and you had several items of the same product and here even though we are using one coupon per item, we were not allowed to purchase additional items of the same product with coupons. If we had 4 coupons for 4 salad dressings, we were only allowed to purchase one salad dressing with a coupon and we had to purchase the other three at regular price. We showed them the policy and they still refused to take the additional coupons. Which is correct? Thanks!

    • Hey Joli!

I know exactly what you are talking about. There is a line in the policy that was emailed out to the managers that says, “One coupon per product per purchase per transaction” or along those lines, and my manager understood that to be 1 of the same coupon, per transaction. She said she would allow multiple transactions, but just 1 coupon, per item, per transaction. When I went in on Sunday though they didn’t ring them up that way. I am sorry that happened, I would say the correct way to use multiple coupons when the manager says 1 per transaction is to make multiple purchases. Right now there is going to be a lot of learning going on til everything gets all sorted out. But the manager should have let you do multiple transactions (there is nothing in their policy about how many of those you can do :) so you could use all your coupons.

    • …the only other thing I can think of is that line in the policy that says managers have the right to limit quantities. Maybe that store just decided to limit the quantities?? The two stores I’ve been to didn’t have any issues with me using more than one of the same coupon in one transaction. (I’m in CO) I totally agree with Anna – I’d have told them to just do multiple transactions if I had cash on me. But, I probably would have put the stuff back if I had to use my card 4 or 5 times at one store for a small charge each time. :)

  3. I have had good luck this week with your list and match-ups. Only a couple items didn’t work due to size differences. Lance Crackers, mean Green Cleaner, but the others went perfectly. I went when they first opened so both the cashiers and I had time to learn. Thank you very much for your help.

  4. Yea!! I’m SO glad I found your blog!! I’ve been couponing for about 4 years now, and am very excited about Dollar Tree now taking coupons. In fact, I may just take my daughter there today to see what items they carry before getting coupons to use there. My local library does a swap every Monday and has a basket of coupons to give/take all week it seems. I just moved here less than 3 weeks ago, so I’m still getting used to prices and product availability.

I will probably pass along your blog info to my mom, who shops Dollar General for items often for their church’s outreach program. Thanks for all you do!!

    • Aw-thank you! I live in Lubbock so I don’t have very good grocery stores to shop at, that is why I focus on the Dollar STores. So glad you found me-thanks for reading!

  5. the coupon for the cough drops are a dollar off of 2 not 1.
So it would be 50 cents each
