To celebrate my baby’s first birthday (not the furry baby, the real baby, but he was unavailable for the photos..) last month I ran over to the Dollar Tree to see what I could find. They had a 7 foot “Happy Birthday” banner that was really cute. They also had about 3 different packages of cupcake wrappers and little flags. I went with a balloon theme. These are a great deal, you get 24 in a package for $1, whereas the grocery store wanted about $3.50 and Wal Mart wasn’t much better.
Found these adorable candles… ah so cute. I also forgot these for the photo shoot. Worse part was that everything I forgot was with me-I just forgot I had it!
I also grabbed a package of 3 punch balloons and had one filled at the grocery store. I wanted the banner in the background, but the day we took these pictures it was REALLY windy and ripped the Happy Birthday banner as soon as we hung it up! And, in the commotion of the cupcake I forgot to put his party hat. Ugh! But, I like how these pictures turned out, and thanks to the Dollar Tree, the whole photo shoot was less than $5.
Party supplies are one of the best things to be found at the Dollar Tree. The table cloths and plates are all single colors, so you can match them to whatever theme you are having. They have helium balloons, foil balloons, balloon weights, napkins, plates, cups, bags, hats, you name it. Not quite party city, but I think you can find what you need for a great price at Dollar Tree.
