Dollar General Trip: Razor Scenario

I was really excited to go and do the razor scenario. When I was doing the math yesterday I was thinking they were going to be almost FREE! Then I got to the store and saw that the regular price was a dollar more than I expected and that it was the sale price I was thinking of. Apparently they’ve raised their prices in the last couple months. Darn it. Either way, I still felt like this was a pretty good deal.

Dollar General currently has 2 really hot sales going on right now. Because they’re a sale, you can combine them with the $5 off a $25 purchase coupon. (If you haven’t shopped a $5 off $25, check out my How To Shop at Dollar General tutorial.) I’ve done this Kraft sale before and was able to score some crazy good deals. The 2 sales we are working with today are:

Since they’re seperate sales, you will need to pay attention to how many Kraft items you are buying and if you have $10 in the other participating items. Make sense? You actually have to buy MORE than $25 in these items because the $2 and $3 will automatically come off at the register, leaving you $5 short of the $25 needed. We are going to have to buy about $30.
