The house we have been renting the last year just has the one bathroom. That means as our little boy has grown bigger, his bath toys have accumulated and eventually started to take over the tub. I looked at several organizers at various stores and they cost about $8-$20. Ridiculous. I know.
I went to Dollar Tree and grabbed this cute little basket. I looked for one that had a flat side so it could rest comfortably against the wall. Then I grabbed a package of suction cup hooks. With tax I think I paid $2.16, and I still have a handful of suction cup hooks left over.
I first hung the basket up with just 2 hooks. A couple hours later I heard a crash and knew what it was. I was lamenting that my basket idea wasn’t working when my friend asked how many hooks I’d used. When I told her just 2 she said, “Go use a couple more!” DUH.

To get the basket to hang right with 4 hooks, I wet the back of all 4 suction hooks and stuck them to the wall in what I guessed to be the appropriate place. Then I hung the basket on them and arranged them in the right place. Once I had each hook where I wanted it, I gently pulled the basket straight down. This insures that each hook is bearing the correct amount of weight. And wouldn’t you know it, it’s been stuck on my bathroom wall for a month now. I’m very pleased.
I’d like to think he is, but I can’t say that he cared one way or another if we stepped on toys when we showered

I’m amazed you can get the suctions hooks to stay. I always wet mine before I put them up, but they never stay!
I made sure these were SUPER wet… I am surprised too! But they’ve been holding that entire basket for over a month!
sometimes a good wall-scrubbing before putting up suction hooks helps. And sometimes, the surface we are given to work with are a no-go for suction hooks.
Mine come off a lot since we have a horrible surface to stick them on. Oh well!
Love his expression!
